Volunteer!

Every year the Roncesvalles Polish Festival needs a great number of volunteers to keep it running smoothly. It’s easy and fun and hugely helpful to us.

Our volunteers are given a very quick orientation and then sent out to be festival marshals. The main responsibilities are:

- helping visitors navigate the festival
- providing information
- ensuring that street barricades remain closed

This is fun, easy work that can be applied to your high school community service hours.

    As you know, we pulled off a minor miracle in 2009 in mounting our fifth and largest Roncesvalles Polish Festival in the midst of heavy construction on our street.

    We had hoped to be able to work this miracle two years in a row. Unfortunately, the second (and final) round of construction will make a festival in 2010 impossible.

    We are planning to bring back the Roncesvalles Polish Festival in 2011 and invite you to join us then to participate in what we call “Canada’s largest celebration of Polish culture in Toronto’s best neighbourhood.”
